Innovative Technologies in the Energy Field

As part of the MARE project implementation KiNNO, together with the MARE team, conducted an Analysis of the Market & Technology Opportunities in the EUROMED area, in order to obtain technology opportunities from Mediterranean Partner Countries (Greece, France, Jordan, Morocco and Egypt).

These innovative technologies belong in the fields of:

  • Microgrids with Renewable Energy Sources
  • Desalination and
  • Energy efficiency in buildings.

The identified technologies are introduced in a catalogue elaborated by the MARE team, who has further details on the technology applications, addressed needs, stage of development, and commercial opportunities.

MARE project aims to bridge the gap between research and innovation by aligning better research objectives to socio-economic needs and improving performance in managing, transferring and using knowledge resulting from research. In particular, MARE strives to improve cooperation in research and knowledge exchange in EU and Mediterranean Partner Countries with regards to the use and applications of renewable and energy efficiency technologies in buildings, desalination and Microgrids.

KiNNO is actively engaged in technology transfer activities acting as a technology broker for ESA’s TTN in order to seek and promote suitable technologies in various fields. Furthermore, KiNNO has designed and implemented a green innovation platform, offering innovative technology based offers applicable mainly to the energy sector, exploiting its vast experience in the field.
