"SMART SPECIALIZATION"

(Greece – Bulgaria 2007 – 2013)

 “Smart Specialization” is implemented under the framework of the “Greece – Bulgaria 2007 -2013” programme, which constitutes an Exploitation Plan for Regional Innovation Smart Specialization Strategies (RIS3), for the entire border area of intervention of the aforementioned Programme, which is composed of the Region of Central Macedonia, the Region of East Macedonia & Thrace and the Regions of South West and South Central of Bulgaria.

The aim of the project is to develop specific actions and record targeted investment priorities for the Interregional area, in order to support the approaches and policy instruments that will be detected by the Smart Specialization Strategies.

In the framework of the project “SMART SPECIALIZATION” results and best practices of already implemented projects will be assessed, in order to develop a common Interregional action plan.  In this context, specialized actions will be undertaken and targeted applications will be implemented in order to support the approaches and the means of policy that the RIS3 strategies will indicate.

KiNNO, as expert of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry is involved in the conduction of the Study on the effects of on-going policies to improve competitiveness in the Regions of Central Macedonia and East Macedonia & Thrace.
